Penvir 250 Tablet should be taken inthe dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not skip any doses andfinish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Penvir 250 Tablet may be taken with orwithout food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. If you miss a dose,take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose,skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule, to avoid an overdose.You should drink plenty of water while on treatment with this Penvir 250 Tablet as it helps toprevent dehydration and kidney damage.

Some side effects of this Penvir 250Tablet includes headache, dizziness, vomiting, nausea, fatigue, and fever.Inform your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. Pleaseconsult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.

Fastly absorbed from the GI tract. The Penvir 250mg (Famciclovir 250mg) has Bioavailability 77 Percent (penciclovir) and Time to peak plasma concentration 1 hr. Food may delay absorption.

Penvir 250mg (Famciclovir 250mg)  excreted through urine (73 Percent); faces (27 Percent). Elimination half-life of Penvir 250mg (Famciclovir 250mg) 1.6-3 hr.

Herpes Zoster

Dose given 500mg every 8 hours for 7 days orally.

Herpes Simplex Labialis

Recurrent herpes labalis 1500mg single dose orally.

Herpes Simplex  Mucocutaneous / immunocompetent Host

For 7 to 10 days 250mg administrated 3 times a day given orally.

Relapsed episodes: Given 1000mg twice a day for 1 day orally rather 125mg twice a day orally for 5 days.

Herpes Simplex Mucocutaneous / immunocompromised Host

Relapsed episodes  500mg twice a day for 7 days.
